Job Description

The School of Journalism and Strategic Communication seeks a one-year, full-time, non-tenure faculty member to teach four undergraduate courses per semester in strategic communication, advertising, public relations, and media analytics.

Duties & Responsibilities: The assistant lecturer will teach four undergraduate courses per semester in strategic communication, advertising, public relations, and media analytics; partner with internal and external stakeholders and experts to address social problems and economic opportunities through strategic communication campaigns managed within the course curriculum; and advise student organizations, co-curricular student projects, immersive learning, and/or high-impact experiences.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in journalism, advertising, public relations, media analytics, or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in journalism, advertising, public relations, media analytics, or a related field from an accredited institution and at least 10 years of full-time professional experience in strategic communication.
