Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as the Academic Planning and Student Success Coordinator. Reporting to the University Registrar, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the academic planning system to support students on their academic journey. You will have a unique opportunity to work closely with faculty, professional advisors, and other university stakeholders to provide a seamless experience for students, and help them achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining degree maps, academic program information, and the academic planning system
  • Assisting the campus-wide implementation team for the EAB Navigate Academic Planner tool
  • Facilitating communication and support for the academic planning tool
  • Collaborating with Retention Services to develop programming, content, training, documentation, and internal marketing for the academic planning tool and student success system
  • Providing backup support for all aspects of the student success and advising systems
  • Working with staff and administrators in the Registrar’s Office on planning and work assignments

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Work experience in a higher education setting, graduate student employment or secondary education experience considered
  3. Strong organizational and interprsonal skills.
  4. Demonstrated experience with the application of multiple software systems, including ability to determine the appropriate use(s) of each
  5. Demonstrated background in working as a team member in various work situations with numerous and diverse demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree or master’s candidate
  2. Experience in academic advising or mentoring in an educational setting or significant experience in a Registrar or Enrollment Services office working with diverse student and staff populations.
  3. Knolwedge of academic planning and student success/early alert systems
  4. Experience working with faculty in a professional or graduate student employment setting.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
  6. Ability to speak publicly in front of groups of people
  7. Ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships

Potential for Permanent Hybrid/Remote Work Condition: The Registrar's Office and Retention Services are currently working in a hybrid model. On-campus work will be required for this role, but opportunities for hybrid work are available. The university reserves the right to set the conditions and location of the employment, including changing to a more traditional inhouse work model if that is necessary to effectively meet the mission of the university and responsibilities of this position.
Ability to work a flexible schedule according to departmental needs, which may include occasional evenings and weekends.
