Job Summary
The Athletics Compliance Assistant performs a variety of administrative and technical duties requiring knowledge of methods and procedures to provide support for all aspects of compliance for an NCAA Division I Athletics program. Responsibilities include monitoring and processing admissions, initial eligibility, housing, transfer requests and applying and monitoring policies and procedures to ensure department and university compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations and to evaluate department issues for compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating the NCAA Initial Eligibility and Amateurism process through the NCAA Eligibility Center for prospective student-athletes.
- Responsible for processing all applications for admissions and communication with prospective student-athletes, parents, coaching staff and Bickerstaff Center.
- Serve as department liaison with prospective student-athletes and parents regarding NCAA eligibility and admission status, missing documents, housing application process, checklists and required entry-level testing.
- Coordinate the transfer requests for prospective student-athletes as well as LBSU student-athletes.
Knowledge of NCAA policies and procedures. Knowledge of and ability to use computer software, including spreadsheet applications and database management applications. Ability to deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Ability to collaborate positively to effectively drive toward organizational goals. Ability to seek and develop relationships that help grow and maintain a working and learning environment where every student, employee and community member is treated with dignity and respect. Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and independence to achieve desired results. Consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Maneuvering comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics.

Education and Experience
- Equivalent to four years of administrative support experience required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred.

Compensation
The salary range for this classification is $3,505 to $5,508 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
