Position Function: As a member of the Office of Student Life, the Assistant Director is responsible for planning and implementing developmental programs for Fraternity and Sorority students, cultivate leadership skills, and other competencies for fraternity and sorority members. Assist in advising fraternity and sorority life governing councils on programs, policies, and related activities.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from accredited institution of higher education by start date, or in lieu of a Master’s degree a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with an additional two years of experience in higher education or adjacent field.
Minimum Experience: Experience working with college students or similar populations, evidence of skills in program planning and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in student affairs, college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling or a related field. One to two year(s) of full-time experience working with fraternities and sororities; experience with advising governing councils and the member chapters; working knowledge of NIC, NPC, NPHC, NMGC, and NALFO organizations; experience developing leadership curriculum and related student learning experiences, experience supporting diverse student populations and creating inclusive environments, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Membership with an international fraternity or sorority.
