Job Summary
To provide administrative support and coordination to the Manager, Administrative & Fiscal Operations with student and staff personnel activities and administrative/clerical tasks for the Administrative Support Unit of Enrollment Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support for department personnel activities for the Manager of Administrative & Fiscal Operations.
- Responsible for organizing, coordinating, and performing a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks regarding the internal operations of the department.
- Delivers administrative support to Enrollment Services Directors and performs duties as part of the Administrative Support Unit.
- Provides project management support on diverse projects as assigned by the AVP or ASM.
High level of discretion when handling confidential information related to staff. This position has access to sensitive information such as contact information, performance/attendance issues, and salary data. High level of professionalism when accessing departmental confidential information that is not readily available to all personnel. Demonstrated history of providing a high level of administrative support with an emphasis on reliability, accuracy, and timeliness. Ability to interact in a positive, professional manner with students, staff, faculty, and others, especially under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Excellent working knowledge of electronic calendar/e-mail system such as Microsoft Outlook. Very good interpersonal skills with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship. Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous, diverse demands are involved. Must be able to multi-task effectively and have experience in handling more than one large assignment at a time. Ability to independently perform various administrative duties in an efficient and effective manner with minimal direct supervision. Excellent working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software/tools. Treats all customers (students, faculty, and staff colleagues) with dignity and respect, empathy, fairness, and professionalism, consistent with the university mission, values, and strategic vision. Ensures operational integrity and continuity by maintaining detailed descriptions of responsibilities, ranging from daily tasks to strategic activities and outcomes, and makes them available to supervisor. Ensures quality, usability, and integrity of system data by working within approved processes and testing procedures. Follows all University policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security and nondiscrimination policies and procedures. Contributes to a positive university experience for each and every student and assists in achieving the university's commitment to a “vision of excellence.”

Education and Experience
Equivalent to five (5) years of administrative support experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent of one to two (1-2) years of human resources and/or personnel experience, preferred.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,681 - $6,034 per month.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for one (1) year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
