Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Appropriate Administrator, the ASM provides leadership and management oversight of division wide human resources matters for University Relation & Development. Incumbent is responsible for recruitment, position management, compensation, professional development, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and management oversight of URD human resources matters and division payroll processes.
- Oversight in administrative clerical support staff.
- Oversight in compensation, employment, and onboarding activities.
- Oversight of employee relations activities. Acts as the primary liaison with Staff HR and URD.
Communicate effectively, develop, and deliver multi-mode communications. Ability to guide others in policy and procedures in support of the URD and the university. Demonstrated ability to interpret collective bargaining agreements and campus and CSU policies and procedures. Experience with processing of personnel/human resources transactions. Ability to develop training programs and coordinate events. Ability to utilize judgment, discretion, and initiative in performing job responsibilities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations and create various types of write at a level appropriate for this position. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Maintain cooperative working relationship

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.
Licenses / Certificates
Valid CA driver's license required.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $68,664 to $102,996 per month, commensurate with experience.

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.
