Job Description

The Department of Educational Leadership invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor (non-tenure-line) faculty position available for the 2023-24 academic year. Our department is seeking faculty members with strong interpersonal skills and faculty who value collaborative teaching approaches to promote cross-disciplinary knowledge that will serve our graduates in their careers. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable teaching skills in guiding the growth of academic programs and curricula and working experience in leadership.

Position Function: The faculty member will teach graduate courses in support of a doctoral program in Higher Education and Community College Leadership, a master’s program in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education, and multiple graduate certificates. Duties also include service to department, college, and university.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate degree in higher education, student affairs administration, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university by time of appointment. Teaching experience in higher education and the ability to teach courses in the field of higher education using a variety of instructional strategies.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have an active research agenda and a publication record qualifying them to serve on doctoral committees.
