Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Director, the incumbent manages and oversees the administrative functions of the Center for Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness. Supervise Administrative Assistant III, provide support for project directors and project consultants, as well as general oversight and administrative coordination of graduate and undergraduate student assistants. Develop and oversee all fiscal functions of CEEE and advise leadership team on policy and procedures related to finance, budgets, personnel, and related operational functions to meet programmatic goals. Provide ongoing support of CEEE Leadership (Associate Director, Director, and Executive Director) and the grants and projects in the Center and the clients and students it serves.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Required: Ability to use MS Office suite of programs, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience tracking and monitoring budgets and expenditures. Project management (planning, tracking, communication) skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities at the same time. Ability to communicate effectively professionally with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g., community members, faculty, top university administrators, students). Demonstrated ability to be proactive in identifying potential challenges and issues, as well as to take the initiative in addressing those issues and/or bringing them to the attention of center leadership. Ability to work collaboratively with center staff and others to problem-solve. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals at all levels from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred: Demonstrated experience working in a self-support environment (e.g., with grant funding). Experience overseeing the work of others, including full-time staff. Experience using project management software. Demonstrated experience with financial management, planning, and/or analysis. Experience with graphic design to allow preparation of attractive reports, policy briefs, etc. Skill using one or more graphic design software programs.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Master's degree in social sciences preferred. Experience developing and managing budgets preferred. Experience supervising the work of others preferred. Experience with project management, including research/evaluation projects, preferred.

Compensation
The salary range for this classification is $3,518 to $6,791 per month.
