Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Financial Resources Manager, the incumbent serves as an expert providing in-depth knowledge and expertise in the full scope of project activities related to the initiation, execution, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of fiscal operations. Provides day-to-day program and organizational support using expertise and initiative to independently analyze requests and issues to perform work, make recommendations, and develop solutions in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Extensive and in-depth budgetary knowledge and strong skills working with budgets for large departments or areas. Demonstrated strong analytical skills working with strategic budget planning and implementation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision. Maintain professional discretion and confidentiality. Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Ability to effectively use all communication methods and formats and to use expertise to achieve short- and long-term goals and objectives. Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook). Intermediate MS Excel skills preferred. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Common Management System preferred. Working knowledge of HR practices and procedures helpful.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience

Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business Administration) and a minimum of five (5) years of working experience with financial analysis in coordinating budgets, formulating spreadsheets, researching and analyzing data, and problem solving is required.

Compensation

The salary range for this classification is $6,322 to $12,285 per month.

Time Base

Full-time temporary position for one (1) year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
