Full Time Instructor of Geology

Ball State University

The Department of Environment, Geology, and Natural Resources invites applications for a full time semester faculty appointment to teach undergraduate courses. We seek a broadly trained geologist or geoscientist to teach full-time (4 course) geology classes, including structural geology, hydrology, and introductory geology.

The Department of Environment, Geology, and Natural Resources offers undergraduate degrees in Geology, Natural Resources and Environmental Management, and a teaching major in Earth-Space Science teaching. We offer several minors, including a renowned minor in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. Additionally, we offer both MA and MS degrees and are part of the Environmental Science PhD. Our students learn from dedicated faculty to learn the skills they need to succeed in their professional careers.

Position Function: Instructors will be needed to teach full-time (4 course) geology classes, including structural geology, hydrology, and introductory geology.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: ABD or earned PhD in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
