Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of the Teacher Preparation Advising Center (TPAC), the incumbent manages all clerical and support functions of the Teacher Preparation Advising Center. This office serves over 1700 students and over 500 prospective students.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main phone reception for the TPAC office answering the main phone line, greeting students, staff and faculty and responding to general program inquiries via phone, email and in-person and refer requests for information when necessary.
- Process program forms and applications and contact students when incomplete to resolve issues. Assist in setting up program interviews for MSCP, ESCP & UDCP candidates.
- Perform general clerical duties of filing, handling mail and email, data entry, supply inventory and ordering.
- Assist with scheduling of meetings and workshops including reserving rooms, notifying participants and creating and distributing flyers.
Ability to collaborate with administrators, staff and faculty in a support role; Must provide evidence of initiative in creating solutions, supporting projects, and improving communications. Proficiency with MS Office, database software, and web-based programs and systems (Google Drive, Docs, etc). Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Experience interacting positively with diverse students or clients. Must be willing to participate in Staff Governance in the College and engage in staff professional development activities. Must be professional in presentation, work ethic, and follow-through. Demonstrates interest in supporting student success.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Equivalent to three (3) years of administrative support experience required.

Compensation
The salary range for this classification is $3,338 to $4,913 per month.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for two (2) years with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
