Job Description

Student Program Manager: Reporting to the Executive Director of Student & PK-12 Services, the Student Program Manager's primary duties will be to plan, implement and manage the USDA-FAS Agricultural Export Market Challenge (“Challenge”); an immersive learning experience targeted to upper-level undergraduates attending a minority-serving educational institution. This position will assist with program management, coordination, and programmatic assistance for the HACU Student Services department to allow them to meet stated goals. Specific responsibilities include managing accounts for the Corporate HACU National Internship Program, helping coordinate the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute at HACU’s Annual Conference, assisting in the management of the Scholarship Program and assisting the Executive Director and Assistant Director with other department projects. This position is a two-year grant with strong possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working with college students in a career readiness capacity, previous grant management experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent required; two to four years related experience and/or training preferred. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment handling multiple projects with competing deadlines. Exceptional people skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and Spanish language proficiency (preferred but not required). Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. (Located in San Antonio, TX)
