Sponsored Projects Administration welcomes applications for a Grant Specialist.

Position Function: Assist in the transition of sponsored project awards from receipt of fully executed agreements to post award management and closeout. Ensure accurate award information is recorded within Ball State systems and assist in maintaining data integrity of records. Communicate with Grant Managers and others within and outside Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA).
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by date of appointment. At least one year of professional work experience in the creation, maintenance and tracking of electronic documents and/or managing accounts/programs. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; excellent customer service skills; excellent technological skills; proficient mathematical and computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel; experience using Adobe suite of products, specifically Acrobat; ability to multi-task well under pressure, simultaneously handling a variety of projects and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines; ability to produce detailed, accurate work.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field. Additional years of related and/or higher education experience. Excellent organizational and time management skills; experience using electronic research administration (eRA) systems, specifically Cayuse Research Suite; experience using financial systems, specifically Banner and Argos.
