Position Function: This position will coach, mentor, and guide high-priority, high-need students to include academically at-risk students through a caseload support model. This position will provide comprehensive academic coaching and student success strategies to help students maintain academic progress and timely degree completion, ensure appropriate and accurate academic records, execute departmental/divisional administrative policies, and use judgement and discretion appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution by date of employment. One year of experience in academic advising, student services, counseling, academic coaching, or related field.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: At least three years of experience in academic advising, student services, counseling, or related field in higher education; familiarity with Ball State curriculum; familiarity with Banner and Degree Works. Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and administration; ability to identify barriers to students success and facilitate effective remedies; ability to synthesize information and prioritize goals; ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal platforms; ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for diversity; ability to utilize advising software tools.
Accredited coach certification (i.e., ICF, NCACE)
