Job Description

The Division of Lifetime Learning welcomes applications for a Business Training Manager. This person is the Lifetime Learning Liaison with the business community to engage employers in customized incumbent workforce training, develop workforce hiring partnerships, and direct other professional development initiatives.

Position Function: The Business Training Manager is the Lifetime Learning Liaison with the business community. This position engages employers in customized incumbent workforce training, develops workforce hiring partnerships, and directs other professional development initiatives. The Business Training Manager coordinates with other internal and external stakeholders who interact with the business community including BSU Career Services, Chambers, organizations that help employers administer corporate education benefits, workforce development boards, and more. This position is based out of the BSU Fishers Satellite Center location and focuses mainly on Indianapolis and the surrounding areas. Some local travel is required.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of three years of related professional experience. Ability to exercise initiative and work without direct supervision. Most possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. Understanding of business customized training and program development; Strong organizational, management, and administrative skills. Experience instructing corporate trainings.
