Summary
This position is responsible for providing support and coordination of digital communications and website updates for the Enrollment Services (ES) department, which encompasses Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Services, Student Records, and Systems. This position also provides support to the Administrative Support Team and Office of the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Enrollment Services.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support digital communications needs including editing and coordinating the deployment of email campaigns, text message campaigns, Chatbot messaging, and student application tool messaging under the guidance of the Communications Specialist.
  • Design and maintain content for Enrollment Services webpages and web-based communications platforms under the guidance of the Communications Specialist.
  • Provide support with troubleshooting digital communications issues, interacting with staff in other Enrollment Services units, CSULB campus IT/ATS teams, and/or outside third party vendors as needed.
  • Compose and edit process guides and tutorial videos for students and staff.
  • Build and run data reports/queries using CSULB's web-based applications including but not limited to CS Link, PeopleSoft, SharePoint, Qualtrics, and DocuSign.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Works well independently and on a team. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Experience building and sending mass digital communications including but not limited to email, social media, and/or text messaging. Experience building and maintaining public websites and/or private intranet sites. Experience with HTML/DHTML; CSS/XML; SQL; Drupal; Adobe Acrobat; MS Word; MS Excel; MS SharePoint; and/or other digital communications tools. Experience with video editing software, such as Camtasia, preferred. Experience with business intelligence and/or database tools such as PeopleSoft preferred. Understanding of key design principles and familiarity with graphic design preferred. Familiarity with customer service bot applications a plus

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree (Digital Communications, Marketing/Communications, Web Development) or related field and two years of related professional or technical experience required.

Compensation
The salary range for this classification is $1,669 to $2,826.50 per month.

Time Base
Half-time (.50 time-base/20 hours per week) position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
