Position Function: Coordinate programs and services for students, alumni and faculty in selected academic departments and liaison areas; coordinate career planning and job search programs and activities for the department; provide career advising and education for students and alumni through individual appointments and group discussion; assist with employer development and recruitment activities related to assigned academic programs.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related area from an accredited institution. One year of related experience.
Minimum Other: Skills in time management and meeting deadlines, attention to detail, exceptional customer service, planning, leadership, word processing, knowledge of the Internet; excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills; creativity/vision; training skills.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution by date of appointment. Experience working in higher education; experience using spreadsheets and databases.
Preferred Other: Familiarity with career planning and employment and with career development theory; program development, management and presentation delivery; ability to supervise students.
Salary range for this position: $40,000-42,000
