Position Function: The marketing content specialist serves as a principal writer for Online and Strategic Learning—preparing copy for high-profile projects including intensive writing and storytelling components; composing and editing persuasive, accurate, engaging copy for a variety of audiences within a variety of media; developing and implementing content strategy; ensuring consistency with the university’s brand voice; and writing to meet enrollment or other business goals. Remote work arrangements can be considered – up to 100% remote.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience in advertising, copywriting/editing journalism, public relations, or related field.
- Demonstrated mastery of high-quality, professional-level concept development, copywriting, and editing, including experience writing, editing, and organizing content for websites, social media, and other electronic media.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated comfort level with learning new technologies.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in advertising, business, English, communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, or related field.
- At least three years of professional communications experience in a public relations or advertising agency, journalistic organization, or a university environment.
- More than three years of related experience handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience or knowledge of adult learners.
- Experience with a CRM.
- Thorough knowledge of AP Stylebook.
