Ball State University is located in Muncie, Indiana, on an attractive campus 45 miles northeast of Indianapolis. Approximately 22,000 graduate and undergraduate students enroll in one of eight academic colleges that offer 120 undergraduate programs. We offer more than 140 master’s, doctoral, certificate, and specialist degrees, with many of them ranking among the best in the nation. Duties & Responsibilities: Teach a 3-credit Honors College course. Potential teaching assignments include interdisciplinary explorations in the natural/physical sciences, or in the social sciences/humanities with emphasis on contemporary societal issues, or a colloquium with in-depth inter-or-multidisciplinary topics.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced or terminal degree (masters or higher) in the natural/physical sciences, social sciences, humanities, or the fine arts or closely related areas from an accredited college or university by date of appointment.
B. Evidence of potential for excellence in pedagogical innovation, interdisciplinary interactions, and mentoring undergraduates.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching small, discussion-based seminars.
B. Experience teaching across disciplines, service-learning, or writing courses.
C. Terminal degree in the natural/physical sciences, social sciences, humanities, or the fine arts or closely related areas from an accredited college or university.
