Job Description

The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at Ball State University has an one year full-time contract faculty position available in August 2022 for one academic year without renewal. Primary responsibilities focus on teaching undergraduate courses that the ISOM department offers, which may be delivered on campus or online, synchronously and asynchronously.

Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities focus on teaching undergraduate courses, such as but not limited to ISOM 210, ISOM 249, ISOM 251, ISOM 300, and ISOM 351 which may be delivered on campus or online, synchronously and asynchronously. Normal teaching load is twelve (12) credit hours each Fall and Spring semester with required service for the ISOM department and Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Center activities.

Minimum Qualifications: MBA or Master’s degree in business analytics, computer information systems, and logistics and supply chain management, or closely related areas from an accredited institution by date of appointment; at least five years of work experience in an area related to the above fields.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of effective and innovative teaching at the university level, and experience with online teaching. Managerial experience in the areas of business analytics, computer information systems, and logistics and supply chain management, or closely related areas.
