Job Description

With the opening of a new Multicultural Center, Ball State University is looking for an Assistant Director for the TeenWorks program. This full-time contract position also includes an excellent benefits package. This position will serve as a coach and guide for student participants in the TeenWorks@BSU program, supporting them in their transition to college and on their pathway to positive post-graduation outcomes and assessing their progress toward academic and personal goals and connecting them with high-impact curricular and co-curricular activities that promote success in and out of the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Experience working in higher education in the areas of advising, diversity, inclusion and/or multicultural issues. Evidence of skills in programming, organization, communication, advising and program development.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. At least one year of a graduate assistantship or professional experience in higher education in student affairs administration; experience working with students of color; experience working with student organizations; experience with intervention strategies for student success.
