Job Summary

The Director of Board Engagement serves as a key member of the Vice President's office by providing leadership and project management support for planning, directing, and managing the CSULB 49er Foundation Board. In addition, this position will be responsible for high level special projects for the Office of the Vice President.

  • Experience with frequent interaction with people at highest level of a non-profit or university organization, chief executives and/or presidents of said organizations, legislative offices, faculty, administrators, staff, students, parents, and the general public.

  • Ability to handle competing priorities in a complex environment; and ability to thrive in an environment of change.

  • Demonstrated ability to make complex decisions and problem solve.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, to take initiative, to recommend modifications or improvements to policies and procedures and to implement those modifications.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously, determine the relative importance of each, set deadlines and complete projects accordingly.

  • Ability to be service-oriented to ensure all customers (internal and external) have their needs met in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Possess excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree and five (5) years related experience. Executive administrative and board level experience is preferred.
    Physical Summary

    Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects (10 pounds or less).
    Licenses / Certificates

    A valid driver's license is required for this position. Once hired the employee must successfully complete the Defensive Driver Training Program provided by the State of California for California State University campuses.

    Compensation

    Hiring Range: $73,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

    Salary Range: $68,664 - $102,996 per year.

    Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

    Additional Information
