Assistant Director for Esports

Ball State University’s College of Communication, Information and Media welcomes applications for an Assistant Director for Esports.
Reporting to the Director of Esports, this position oversees the day-to-day operation of Ball State’s Esports program, ensures student success and retention, contributes to student recruitment, and helps to manage Ball State Esports facilities and equipment.

Position Function: Collaborates with the Director of Esports in all aspects of the esports program: facilities, varsity team management, coaching, equipment maintenance, and recruiting.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. At least one year of relevant professional, high-school, collegiate esports experience including: coaching esports teams in Overwatch, Rocket League, League of Legends, or Valorant, managing rosters, and recruitment of student-athletes.
Minimum Other: Proficient with Microsoft Office and Discord. Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications: Two to three years in a leadership role within a collegiate esports program. Prior experience managing esports productions and broadcasting technology. Ability to manage technology and schedules for esports facilities.
