Position Function: Serve as communications contact for football program and responsible for creating and implementing the overall digital communications strategies and creative initiatives for the Ball State Athletic Department. Will work directly with all sports in the creation and implementation of a social media strategy and content production. Collaborate with all stakeholders and multimedia rights holder to advance the brand across all outlets. Directly responsible for graphic content and digital media campaigns, as well as activation across sports. Explore and implement new and developing technologies to engage existing and new audiences with the Ball State brand. Serve as communications contact or support for additional assigned sport(s) to include creation of communications plan, responding to media requests, media pitches, development of game notes and related content. Serve as a member of the marketing and communications team working to advance our brand and strategically communicate the stories of our student-athletes and teams.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in journalism, broadcasting, communications, graphic design, advertising, or related field. Minimum of two years full-time related experience. Knowledge of social media platforms and engagement strategy best practices. Working knowledge of photography, video production and graphic design.

Preferred Qualifications: Three years of collegiate or professional sports experience. Demonstrates strong knowledge of and proficiency in use of social media platforms. Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of brand, communication, social media, and/or digital media strategy.
