Job Description
Ball State University welcomes applications for an Athletic Trainer at Burris Laboratory School. The Athletic Trainer will provide K – 12 athletic training services for Burris Laboratory School and Indiana Academy including, but not limited to, applying tape, bandages, and braces to protect or prevent injuries, evaluating injuries and providing first aid, implementing rehabilitation programs for injured athletes, and developing injury prevention programs.

Duties & Responsibilities: Work with coaches to ensure the safety of athletes. Attending games and practices as determined by schedule and need. Assist coaching staff in evaluating and implementing sport specific conditioning programs and methods. Developing injury prevention programs and providing athletic training services.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, Sports Management, Exercise Science, or related field from an accredited institution. Experience coaching K-12 or college athletics.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Advance degree in Sports Management; medical professional certification; experience serving as exercise specialist or trainer.
