Assistant-level, Tenure-line Faculty Position in Clinical Psychology
We seek candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2022 in the clinical psychology area with a research program focused on inequities that impact externalizing psychopathology. We define the externalizing domain broadly to include behaviors and disorders, such as (but not limited to) aggression, temperamental factors, emotion dysregulation, oppositionality, ADHD, conduct problems, and substance use/abuse. We have special interest in scholars who address inequities and externalizing psychopathology with expertise in (1) early childhood, (2) adolescence, and/or (3) family processes/factors. We define inequities broadly, encompassing systems and issues with differential mental health impacts. We see possibilities for a scholar to connect with our current research at many methodological levels, for example, basic science, prevention, screening and assessment, intervention, and/or implementation. Candidates should describe how their research connects to and complements the research strengths of our clinical faculty and other departmental faculty.
Successful applicants will have an outstanding record of research achievement and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education, including classroom teaching, mentoring, and clinical supervision in evidence-based approaches. Candidates should also be committed to research, teaching, and/or service with diverse populations, and to advancing the principles and practice of inclusive excellence. Candidates should be licensed or license-eligible in Colorado.
The Department of Psychology is research-oriented, valuing a collaborative and integrative approach to psychological science that fosters intellectual curiosity and innovation and invests in people in a supportive and inclusive environment. Our clinical program ascribes to a clinical science model and belongs to the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. We have a specialty emphasis in children, adolescents, and families.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
