Job Description

The Ball State University Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS) welcomes applications for two Coordinator of Special Academic Programs positions. The successful candidates will work closely with the Associate Director to provide leadership and guidance regarding the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships activities in support of the University’s modular academic calendar.

Position Function: Provide leadership and guidance regarding the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships activities in support of the University’s modular academic calendar. Work with the Associate Director for Compliance, Program Management and Training to interpret complex rules and regulations and work with offices across campus in the development of policies and procedures that best serve students and are regulatory compliant.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree with an additional two years of relevant experience. At least one year of related experience. Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. Experience working in a college or university Financial Aid Office; demonstrated ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines; proficiency with Ellucian’s Banner Financial Aid module; working knowledge of BDMS or other imaging software.
