Position Function: The Assistant Registrar performs a variety of tasks to support the Office of the Registrar, including the supervision, support, and development of personnel and their associated functions. The Assistant Registrar is responsible for entering accurate data, maintaining and preparing student records, troubleshooting student record and systems errors, managing the complete grading processes, and preparing for the semester starts and ends, performing systems processes, reporting and outreach processes. This position is responsible for managing the daily operation of the registration system, monitoring and ensuring compliance with college policies regarding registration procedures, evaluating the effectiveness of said policies, and recommending changes. The Assistant Registrar is the primary liaison for FERPA compliance and will manage and enforce campus compliance initiatives. The Assistant Registrar supports students, faculty and staff with navigational assistance in order to resolve student, registration and records issues, all of which are critical to student retention and persistence.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree an Associate’s degree plus an additional two years of related experience. At least one year of proven management skills related to technology and data management along with strong problem solving skills. Excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy and flexibility; strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks; knowledge that supports a business operation.

Preferred Qualifications: Programming skills with Banner-related products. Demonstrated managerial experience with direct reports and large-scale projects.
