Grant Manager is responsible for monitoring and maintaining sponsored project accounts for externally-funded awards received by the university from federal and state agencies, as well as private and international agencies and organizations; ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, federal and state laws and regulations, and sponsor-specific guidelines; provide assistance to faculty and staff on assigned awards; process salary payments and approve purchases on sponsored projects; prepare financial reports and invoices to granting agencies.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. At least two years of experience in business administration, financial, or grant related area; experience working with financial systems. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, as well as Adobe Acrobat; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent technical and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work with detailed material; proficient mathematical and computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or finance; Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Certified Pre­Award Research Administrator (CPRA), Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) and/or Master’s degree. Experience using Banner, Argos, and/or Cayuse.
