This position is located within the Agricultural Research Service, U.S. National Arboretum (USNA), Office of the Director in Washington, DC.
In this position, you will serve as the event coordinator, primary customer contact and representative for USNA events.
- Provides support in the coordinating of events, including but not limited to workshops, symposia, exhibition openings, plant sales, receptions, and official ceremonies, as well as fee-based events such as weddings and facility rentals.
- Uses tact and discretion with potential co-sponsors at the same time ensuring events are compatible with the interests and policies of the organization.
- Supports the coordination of on-site press events. Helps determine appropriate response to all press requests for information and images.
- Organize, track and maintain event details using appropriate physical and electronic means.
