Educational and Experience Requirement:
Associates Degree in related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Nature & Purpose of Position:
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the Office of the Dean in the College of Business Administration and centers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the College of Business Administration Dean’s office. Process travel, purchasing and registrations for COBA Center Directors and other administrative duties within the COBA Dean’s Office. Assists in development of operational policies. Interprets policies and explains procedures relating to activities performed in the college. Prepares reports and maintains adequate records. Handles routine and special correspondence. Performs specialized tasks requiring a high level of skill in preparation of reports. Reviews internal procedures and recommends needed changes. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:
Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature. Alertness and careful attention is required to prevent injury to others
