Usual duties:
The Department of Forensic Science is conducting a search for two (2) forensic science faculty positions within its FEPAC-accredited MS program and Ph.D. program; one position will be hired for the Summer 2023 Semester and the 2nd position will be hired for the Fall 2023 Semester.
Applicants with experience in forensic toxicology or analytical/drug chemistry are preferred; however, candidates with strong forensic biology, forensic analytical chemistry or instrumental analysis experience may also be considered.
Degree Requirements:
Candidates for this tenure-track faculty position should have a doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field and relevant research/teaching experience in forensic science or a closely related discipline.
Experience Requirements:
Must be able to develop and teach graduate-level courses in forensic science, pursue a sustained research agenda, supervise graduate student research, and actively participate in the continuous development of forensic science programming at SHSU. Candidates are expected to be dedicated teachers, productive researchers, and professionals prepared to become actively engaged in a richly diverse intellectual and social environment to meet the needs of students.
