Educational Requirements for the Position

Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Master’s Degree preferred. Three years of experience in higher education or other related fields (e.g., customer service-based fields) required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Provides daily support for the Career Success Center LinkedIn group ensuring smooth daily operations for all stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintains access to the Career Success Center LinkedIn group ensuring approvals of students, alumni, and employers are accurate, timely, and appropriate. Supports employers and SHSU campus partners in their recruiting goals through LinkedIn and the Career Success Center group. Provides concierge style support to students, alumni, and employers while serving as the single point of contact for the Career Success Center LinkedIn group and its products. Collaborates with the Assistant Director of Marketing, Communications, and Events for the Career Success Center to ensure streamlined employer branding, messaging, and posts via the LinkedIn Group. Promotes the Career Success Center LinkedIn group to students, faculty/staff, employers, and alumni. Communicates and collaborates effectively with all campus stakeholders, using a variety of methods, while promoting the Career Success Center mission and LinkedIn group. Serves as a student success ambassador by promoting career-readiness across campus while utilizing the LinkedIn platform and its supporting products. Aggregates and analyzes usage data and develops reports. Addresses questions or issues as possible or elevates high-level questions/issues and consults with the Director of Career Success and/or LinkedIn to resolve all requests or issues. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications

Experience in LinkedIn and the use of groups, pages, and their corresponding products preferred. Occasional travel may be required.

Up to 100% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
