Reporting to the Assistant Director of Library Operations, with additional oversight from the Collection Management Librarian, the Resource Acquisitions Assistant (Buyer II) performs a broad range of tasks associated with procurement of library materials. This individual will process all transactions pertaining to the acquisition of library materials including, but not limited to, contract management, ordering of books and digital resources using online vendor systems (GOBI), processing of payments, creation of order records in NOBLE, tracking and auditing of financial information, and inventory and disposition of all materials donations. Provides support for collection development and management activities. Runs statistical reports, tracks spending, creates spreadsheets, and manages order and vendor records. Performs related duties as required.
Hours: 8:30am - 5pm
Break: 12 - 1pm
Salary: $52,906.36 annually/$1,017.43 weekly

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional or paraprofessional experience in purchasing work, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a professional capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
- An associate degree with a major in business administration or business management may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience. *
- A bachelor's or higher degree with a major in business administration or business management may be substituted for the required experience. *
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
- Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets and other Microsoft Office or Google Apps programs
- Experience with preparing reports, statistics, and other documents
- Experience with software for ordering materials
