Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Coordinator for the NevadaFIT program.

NevadaFIT is a one-week, one-credit, academic program designed to increase success for incoming college students by offering a glimpse into the University's rigorous academic expectations and college life. The program is required for all first-year students.

The NevadaFIT Coordinator supports the leadership of the NevadaFIT program for the Office of the Provost, and reports to the Associate Director of NevadaFIT. The Coordinator helps the director in the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program. The Coordinator oversees data management for the program, including participant and mentor information and assessment results. This position also serves as the initial contact for all NevadaFIT inquiries and supports the director in representing the program at recruitment events, meetings, and committees. This position provides coordination in regards to Human Resources processing, student staff supervision, and mentor training.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience; OR a Master's degree and one (1) year of related professional work experience

Related Experience: event programming, coordinating the work of multiple offices and employees; working with students in an educational setting or related.

Schedule

Local, State, and Regional Travel (travel outside of the local area may require overnight stays)

Variable hours (includes occasional nights and weekends and extended hours during the month of August)

Compensation Grade

Administrative Faculty - Grade B

Grants-in-Aid for Faculty Employees
