Job Description
HNIP Program Coordinator: Under the direct supervision of the HACU’s National Internship Program’s (HNIP) Director of Operations (DO). The Program Coordinator (PC) is tasked with planning and coordinating HNIP’s activities and processes that support the recruitment, selection, placement, and successful development of the students’ internship experience in the federal government. The Program Coordinator (PC) supports the work of the program with applicants, selected interns, supervisors, and agency liaisons. Provides overall support on the implementation of a successful student professional development program. The Program Coordinator will contribute and support program services in the capacity of events, social media, travel and housing based on seasonal workflow. Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in education, communication, business, social science, or related field. Experience in service-related industries along with experience in career counseling, diversity recruitment, student development, and/or program management is a plus.
