Duties
Summary
This position is in the Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Washington, District of Columbia. The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management to all assigned activities.
The incumbent directs a complex, professional, administrative function of a sensitive and highly visible nature, which supports the implementation and enforcement of the AD/CVD laws and other international trade programs and activities.
The incumbent oversees an enforcement team in E&C's AD/CVD Operations unit that administers the antidumping and countervailing duty laws, regulations, and programs.
The incumbent communicates and presents complex issues, both orally and in writing; provides background and recommendations for action to senior officials.
The incumbent identifies issues, develops approaches for problem-solving, and supports management in solving critical trade policy problems.
The incumbent supervises a team of compliance analysts responsible for: analyzing petitions submitted by domestic manufacturers, producers and trade associations alleging unfair trading practices; conducting Antidumping and Countervailing Duty (AD/CVD) investigations resulting from such petitions; and preparing instructions to U.S. Customs and Border Protection regarding the collection of duties on outstanding orders.
