This position is with the Advocacy Center, in the Global Markets Unit of the International Trade Administration. The Advocacy Center leads inter-agency engagement on behalf of U.S. exporters pursuing foreign government procurement opportunities.

Salary: The salary range indicated in this announcement will be adjusted to include locality payments for the selected duty location. General Schedule locality pay tables may be found under Salaries & Wages.


This position will manage a portfolio of cases in an assigned region and act as the coordinator for the U.S. government on these cases with the goal of leveling the playing field for U.S. exporters and increasing American competitiveness. The position will be charged with the following duties:

  • Managing Advocacy cases including client counseling, case intake, Advocacy strategy development, and execution;
  • Coordinating inter-agency engagement on Advocacy cases including working closely with overseas posts and partner agencies, such as the State Department, USTDA, ExIm Bank, and other agencies;
  • Carrying out outreach related to Advocacy through specific client meetings and participation in events and speaking engagements;
  • Providing other support to the Advocacy Center as needed.
