Educational and Experience Requirement:

Associates Degree in related field. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Experience in accounting is preferred.

Nature & Purpose of Position:

Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the Department of Computer Science.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the National Science Foundation (NSF) Scholarship for Service (SFS) program and other Federal or State grant programs within the Computer Science Department. Provides support for on-going program activities, budget management, collection of information and communication with Federal and State funding agencies and other government organizations for internship and job placement. Provides departmental or University information to students, departments, and staff. Assists in onboarding scholarship recipients. Schedules appointments, activities, and hosts employer networking events. Complies, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Attends meetings and takes notes. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes documents and correspondence. Monitors expenses and processes purchases and payments for the SFS program and other grant related programs. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications:

Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature. Alertness and careful attention are required to prevent injury to others.

This is a full-time, temporary, benefits eligible, grant funded position expected to end on or before 12/31/2027. Continuation of this position is contingent upon continued funding.
