Educational Requirements for the Position
Bachelor’s degree with a major in computer science, business, or related field from an accredited institution. Three years relevant experience in directly related field is required. Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements through use cases, user stories, and other means (including workflow diagrams, dataflow diagrams, screen wireframes, and other similar artifacts). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to bridge functional and technical resources by communicating effectively with individuals of varying systems expertise and business needs. Capable of unpacking ambiguous business requirements with excellent prioritization, time management abilities, and a focus on execution. Able to lead priorities, timelines, and deadlines effectively and proactively. Solid understanding of Agile/iterative product development methodology. A combination of education, experience, certifications, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.Nature & Purpose of Position
Seeks to deeply understand the campus business ecosystem, the organization’s overall product and development efforts, and how value flows through the organization to students. Actively collaborates with business analyst team, project managers, analysts, UX designers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and acts as the interface and advocate between the business and development teams. Conducts interviews, workshops, and observations with campus functional teams and software system owners to develop and continuously improve processes and workflows. Proactively identifies process and technology needs of campus, gathers complex requirements, and assists with project prioritization.
