Ball State University welcomes applications for an Accounts Receivable Systems Analyst within Student Financial Services and Systems.

Position Function: Perform system maintenance, set schedules, and implement system processing for critical SFS events and processes including statement billing, due dates, late fees, payment plans, holds, and past-due notices; install, set user security access, and provide training for software computer systems including Transact Payments and other SFS- related software; analyze and advise users on best solutions to needed reporting including the design of databases and Argos Reports and processes as they relate to software; create complex databases for processes that are essential to the Office of Student Financial Services; make table updates to Banner; perform audit for accuracy of data; implement system processing for billing function; serve a key role in performing testing of system prior to implementation of any updates or changes; perform system administration and support for PC’s, printers, and other related software for computer systems; investigate, research, and assist in resolving software and associated software networking/communication problems with software vendors or Information Technology Services.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by date of appointment. Or, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree plus a combination of education or experience equivalent to two years. At least three years of experience in a billing-related accounts receivables position; good technical understanding of Windows operating system, printers, relational databases, and Microsoft Office applications.

Minimum Other: Must have excellent troubleshooting, attention to detail, verbal and written communication, and customer service skills; and an ability to work in a fast-paced high-demand team environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, accounting, business, or related field. Additional experience accounts receivable in a university setting and hands-on experience developing/maintaining Microsoft Access databases, Argos reporting, Oracle SQL, Transact Payments (a.k.a. Cashnet) eMarkets, and Banner Detail Codes.
