Educational Requirements for the Position

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Three years of experience in college readiness education, student support services or interventions, Texas Success Initiative (TSI), or related programs. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs complex administrative and supervisory program work coordinating programming related to Texas Success Initiative (TSI).

Primary Responsibilities

Oversees college readiness support program activities. Prepares and reviews reports on the effectiveness of program activities. Prepares program budget requests. Confers with staff on program issues and problems and implements solutions. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates Texas Success Initiatives (TSI) programs in coordination with relevant departments. Coordinates with other divisions and departments affected by college readiness programming. Serves as TSI instructional program liaison; provides direct support and responds to information requests from students, faculty, and staff regarding college readiness instruction. Develops and recommends TSI instructional program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations. Interprets and implements TSI policies and procedures. Monitors instructional TSI compliance. Maintains TSI database and files on TSI policies and procedures and all activities associated with the TSI instructional programs. Coordinates information gathering and dissemination with those departments involved in TSI implementation. Stays up-to-date with research in college readiness programming. Monitors enrollment trends to make recommendations for course availability. Develops and delivers staff and faculty training. Responsible for schedule planning, hiring paperwork, and faculty workload for department courses. Performs other related duties as assigned.
