Educational Requirements for the Position

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Three years of experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs complex grant administrative and supervisory program work within the College of Education.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversees the work of assigned program staff. Responsible for complex administrative activities of College of Education grants. Serves as a liaison to various agencies as grant requests are submitted and awarded. Plans and prepares grant proposals. Assists principal investigators on interpretation of agency requirements. Compiles grant components for submission. Ensures adequate tracking systems and databases for COE grant activity and grant-closing activities. Prepares and reviews grant reports on the effectiveness of program activities. Ensures proper and adequate oversight of grant timelines, grant deadlines, and grant reporting. Prepares miscellaneous grant budget requests. Prepares and oversees the preparation of training and operational manuals. Confers with faculty, staff, and administration program issues and problems and implements solutions. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates programs. Recommends program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations. Interprets policies, rules, and regulations and ensures they are followed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to supervise business functions. Communicates with other university departments, personnel, and other agencies.
