Job Summary
This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of complex and detailed transactions and reconciliations for Accounts Payable (AP) in all three University business units (Campus, Research Foundation, and 49ner Foundation. All processes are completed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and structured University guidelines.
Key Responsibilities

  • Independently perform all operational AP functions related to invoice processing or disbursements.
  • Perform reconciliations and analysis with respect to AP.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Experience using a large ERP financial system (e.g. PeopleSoft, SAP). Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting and GAAP procedures related to the daily operational duties of Accounts Payable. Demonstrated ability to independently research and solve problems. Ability to interpret a wide variety of written rules and regulations, including knowledge of sales and use tax and 1099 reporting. Excellent organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and to be accountable for own work. Excellent communication skills Demonstrated experience in customer service environments.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
  • Equivalent to four years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience required.
  • Bachelors Degree and experience in a fast paced AP environment is preferred.

Compensation
The targeted salary may be set as high as $4,267 per month based on experience. The salary range for this classification is $3,532 to $6,198 per month.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
