Educational Requirements for the Position

Associates Degree in related field. Three years related experience or experience in a related field. Certifications may be required. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs advanced specialist duties for a department, college or division.

Primary Responsibilities

Performs specialist duties. Plans, develops, markets, implements, coordinates and monitors training programs, meetings, or conferences. Provides departmental or university information to departments, agencies, and staff. Assists in developing policies and interprets policies and procedures. Schedules meetings, trainings, and activities. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports from meetings and various trainings. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence. May be responsible for planning, directing, marketing, supervising, and participating in special projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Specifications

Contacts involve other University departments, state agencies, and off-campus firms. Performs specialized work in conducting and preparing budgets, training materials, marketing efforts, correspondence, contracts etc., for speakers and staff for the creation, delivery, and completion of a training project. May be responsible for work involving planning, directing, marketing, supervising, and participating in program development and delivery.

Travel is required as well as non-traditional work hours.

Position requires driving and operating a university vehicle, therefore, a valid Texas driver license and driving record acceptable to the University’s insurance carrier is required.
