Ball State University welcomes application for an Assistant Director of Admissions for Social Media Communications. This position will work in collaboration with the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Planning and Management and its leadership staff, support the Office of Undergraduate Admissions commitment to attracting and recruiting a qualified and diverse student body, by actively participating in programming and recruiting initiatives, and meeting the university’s overall enrollment goals.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by time of appointment. Demonstrated and strong commitment to social media, marketing or communications; at least one year of relevant educational, social media, or marketing work experience. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral) with a customer service orientation; ability to speak before large groups or audiences; comfort and experience with computer technology; ability to load and transport admissions materials, displays, and other equipment; experience and understanding of social media including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, TikTok, and video, possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in communication, public relations, video/media, higher education, or related field. Experience working with social media platforms, marketing and video efforts, and understanding of needs of college bound demographics in relation to social media and video platforms.
