Educational and Experience Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in related field. Five years of experience in higher education, experience working with higher education tools and technology such as student information systems, communication tools, or customer relationship management (CRM) tools. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position:
Plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations of one or more programs within the Strategic Enrollment & Innovation department. Performs highly complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning in the department.
Primary Responsibilities:
Directs, implements, and operationalizes programs that support the strategic plan. Requires the ability to foster relationships across the university with the business and technical skills to implement and grow the use of unified engagement tools. Leads and supports the consolidation of communication, event management, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Provides ongoing support to campus constituents to promote effective use of these tools. Develops goals, objectives, schedules, and priorities for the team, and actively leads the team to achieve stated goals. Develops, implements, enforces, and evaluates policies and procedures and oversees compliance with policies and procedures. Directs and evaluates department staff and activities focusing on continuous process improvement. Oversees the preparation of management and productivity reports and studies. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations. Develops and reviews budget expenditures. Makes decisions independently under the authority of direct leadership. Works collaboratively to implement technology and best practices, train and mentor staff, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to department and related tools and provides support in implementing best practices to meet campus priorities. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:
Requires professional contact with students, prospective students, parents, alumni, other state agencies and officials, junior and community college officials and high schools and their officials. Requires knowledge of university policies and procedures, and expertise in student advising programs and activities.
This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Up to 60% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
