Educational and Experience Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s preferred. Five years of experience in a related field or position. Experience in higher education is desirable. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Nature & Purpose of Position:
Performs complex and highly advanced managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic academic initiatives and operations for Student Success areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leads the implementation of several academic initiatives as a member of the Student Success leadership team. Supports the implementation of college readiness interventions for incoming students as well as lead institutional work to re-design the support system for TSI unmet students, curriculum support and re-design for gateway courses with high failure rates, and strategic advising and academic policy work to address barriers for student success. Fosters cross-divisional collaborations for student success and leads the implementation of several strategic projects under the guidance of the Associate Vice Provost for Student Success. Prepares executive level reports and data to demonstrate efficacy of student success interventions and develop KPIs and progress reports across several projects. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requires the ability to exercise discretion with excellent reasoning, and independent judgment. Assists in the development of policies and operational procedures for the overall department. Requires skill in directing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and organizing operations. Asset and fiscal resources management skills preferred. Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with administration, faculty, staff, and the public. Requires strong communication skills, both orally and written. Requires critical judgment for the department, in which very serious consequences on decision-making can occur. Interprets and applies complex directives, policies, regulations, statues, and procedures, and/or written guidelines for a department or major work group.
This is a full-time, temporary, benefits eligible, grant funded position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon continued funding. Funding expected to end on or before 8/31/2026.
Up to 40% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
