About Douglass College:
Established in 1918, Douglass is currently the only women’s college housed within a world class public research university and enjoys a long history of educating first generation women from New Jersey and around the country. The College today enrolls 2,600 highly diverse students from New Jersey and around the world. Douglass has a national reputation as a premier institution for women’s education. The College’s outstanding educational programs are built on five synergistic pillars: 1) A foundational women’s and gender studies course required of all students; 2) Douglass Discovery (research and experiential learning, and the home of the Douglass Project); 3) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; 4) Career Development and Pathways; and 5) Residential and Learning Communities. Students undertake their majors within the academic schools at Rutgers–New Brunswick.
